About The Interrupters

Rollicking California ska-punk band the Interrupters are West Coast torchbearers for the uptempo variation on the classic Jamaican sound. Combining the taut energy of SoCal punk with the skanking rhythms of contemporary ska, the Interrupters' strength comes from the precision of brothers Kevin, Justin, and Jesse Bivona, with vocalist Aimee Interrupter adding personality to the performances. The group formed in the 2010s and teamed with producer Tim Armstrong of Rancid for 2014's The Interrupters, an album that harked back to the classic sound of 2-Tone Records while adding modern punk power. They scored a Top Five Alternative chart hit with 2018's "She's Kerosene" and have shared the stage with punk icons like Green Day, blink-182, and Bad Religion. In 2021, the group showcased their high-energy performance style with Live in Tokyo! and issued the 2022 studio album In the Wild, an LP that juggled cocky confidence with messages of perseverance.
