About My So-Called Band
A North Carolina-based punk revival outfit formed in 1995 by bassist/vocalist Chris Peigler, guitarist Luke Warm, and drummer Patrick Korson, My So-Called Band debuted on Yesha with a self-titled album in 1997. Shortly after its release, Korson left the band to move South and was replaced by Chris Bean. The topical five-song EP Presidential Lust followed in 1998. Upon adding second guitarist Ryan McGinnis to the lineup and teaching him the band's material, Warm departed from the band and music altogether. And soon after that, Bean also exited. Eventually, Chris Loebs was enlisted to fill the void, and the re-vamped band recorded 2000's The Punk Girl Next Door with the assistance of David Barbe (Mercyland, Sugar, Buzz Hungry). ~ Andy Kellman
