About Maria Taylor

Alt-folk singer-songwriter Maria Taylor was born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 21, 1976. In the mid-1990s, Taylor and her high school friend Orenda Fink formed an alternative rock band called Little Red Rocket. After an unsatisfying major-label experience with Geffen Records, that band split and the pair formed the dreamier, country-influenced Azure Ray in 2001, releasing three albums and numerous EPs before splitting in 2004. Taylor began her solo career with 2005's 11:11, followed by LYNN TEETER FLOWER in 2007. Following an acoustic collaboration with Andy Lemaster, SAVANNAH DRIVE, Taylor released her third solo album, LADY LUCK, in 2009
