I remember growing up in South Africa, listening to American Top 40 radio and hearing songs by E.L.O., Billy Joel and Earth, Wind & Fire and thinking very clearly: I want to be a singer! When I discovered Prince as a teen there was no going back. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Joni Mitchell, Court and Spark Prince & The Revolution, Parade (Music from the Motion Picture Under the Cherry Moon) The Beatles, Revolver It's almost impossible to pick just 3 but these albums offer a very wide variety in style and performance as well as some of the best songwriting and producing I can think of. Tell us why you chose this song. “Beautiful Dream” The way this song came to me - in my sleep - makes it a very special creative experience. It's what draws me to music the most, the writing process. I remember getting up in the middle of the night to finish this one after dreaming the melody. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Singing with student orchestra and choir at the DSJ 125th anniversary concert, the school I attended as a boy in Johannesburg, South Africa. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to tour in Asia and South America, the two continents I haven't visited or performed in yet! Oh, and a duet with Bonnie Raitt or Paul McCartney.
