Both as a solo artist and as one-half of the sunny electronic pop duo Golden Coast, California's Denny White has shown a knack for strong melodic hooks and a soulful vocal delivery. A native of Hemet, White relocated to Los Angeles at the age of 18, first establishing himself as a more guitar-oriented pop singer/songwriter with 2013's Colors EP before forming Golden Coast project with collaborator Steven Mudd in 2014. His next solo effort, the moody 2016 single "Sweetness," featured a darker, more electronic approach which was further emphasized on "Psycho" later that year. 2017 was largely devoted to Golden Coast, yielding the lone solo single "Whatcha Thinkin' About." White then kicked off 2018 with the snappy, upbeat single "Torn Up." ~ Timothy Monger
