Description

Creepy texts, scary stories, skin crawling tales of horror – there’s no escape from the paralyzing fear of yOwl, a collection of terrifying texts that will chill you to the bone and leave you hooked, screaming for more.

What would you do if your phone began to send you texts from the dead? Could you reply? Would you believe your eyes?

How would you react if your best friend sent you a message claiming they were being chased by a blood-thirsty maniac intent on slaying them in the street?

yOwl brings together a collection of spine-chilling stories that will make the hairs on the back of your stand on end. Read the horrifying story of Ray, haunted by messages from the grave, as his father reaches out to him from the depths of Hell. Fear for your own life as you follow the gruesome text instructions that David followed, they lead to a shallow grave for one poor soul. Tag along with Joe as his love for street art and graffiti leads to death and destruction. Read Hal’s harrowing texts – has his phone been hacked or has his past finally caught up with him?

yOwl reaches out from the other side and pulls you in, dragging you kicking and screaming into the bowels of Hell to feed you to the Beast. These stories are not for the feint-hearted, they’re not bedtime reading and they shouldn’t be read alone. yOwl will take you into the lives of the scarred and tortured, part the curtains on their windows and reveal to you their inner secrets – each and every one of them has a story to tell and every story has a very, very unhappy ending.

For fans of horror and fantastic fiction, yOwl feeds you addictive stories told through a series of text messages between the characters involved. Read on as friends’ happy, emoji filled messages turn sour, the blood splashes over their screens, their fingers dig into the touch screen keyboards as their knuckles turn white with fear.

yOwl aims to keep you awake at nights with its phantasmagorial tales, filled with monsters from other dimensions, evil dead roadkill, insane killers, spurned lovers, violent psychopaths and things that even we can’t explain.

Updated weekly with more and more freaky tales and blood-curdling chronicles written by blood-loving, crazed writers who we only let out of their cages when they’ve scared the pants off the boss, it’s our mission to frighten you so bad you’ll never be able to sleep with the light off again!

In texts, no one can hear you scream.

pleased cvs customer ,

So far so good!

I’ve read (about) a total of 4 stories & I definitely don’t have a complaint.., (which as far as i can remember) in decision of downloading the app or not— it mentions optional subscriptions, as well as in between stories before starting the next text/chat story.
Although, you can continue by choosing one of several options for packages, If you’d like to continue for free, you can watching 1 short ad to continue. For me, i can definitely say, that good content for free? anything free? It’s worth an ad (10-20 seconds) or less.
I’m a fan of these chat stories— especially, stories that fall under scarier genre types that consists of suspenseful/eerie content, horrors, thrillers, ect. & I personally feel they are great— maybe to distract yourself, pass time, or if you just want a good short read.. this may be exactly that for you as it is for me.
All in all, as I said, I’m 4 stories in
(for free— so far). I plan on continuing to keep reading— who knows, I may run into something that may suddenly change my opinion or how many eligible stories I have left before I’m only given the option to subscribe for more.. but, for now, that’s unknown. If I were to come across this possibility, I’ll be back with an update.
All things aside, the free version is worth it. So, I could only imagine the Subscription Package offers would be just as great!!

Evil Enchantress ,

I wish I could rate 2 1/2

On an author/journalists point of View, The first few threads would have been that much more intriguing if I was able to read straight through without having to either watch an advertisement (which no human being enjoys) or wait a certain duration of minutes, and lastly the final option was to use my funds to purchase the subscription. These threads reel you in and completely sideswipe you with no Ending, Leaving the reader guessing what happens in the end! Aside from the endless horror skits, It is enjoyable and very entertaining and leaves you wondering. That is until you catch on to the repetitive grammar and unedited typos throughout the threads... With even noticing some unfinished sentences? 😒 Some of the vocabularies are not your average nor daily choices of words... That alone will possibly redirect your interest. Aside from that, I would appreciate it more if it were free of a credit card subscription based upon experience given. The reason given is due to the several errors, unfinished sentences, and misused vocabulary. If I am going to purchase a year-long subscription I expect to get my money’s worth. They are great stories but with dead ends... A great read before bed however not great enough to purchase! This should be a free application. I’m no penny pincher but I do NOT PURCHASE something not worth paying for. I could read these all day long, but I could also proofread all day long as well!

meowmeow1992 ,

This is such an awesome story app!

This app gives you great scary stories! They’re the perfect amount in length and I LOVE how you can keep watching or you can view photos in the story by watching a 30 second ad! It makes it so easy to keep reading! I’ve tried other story-telling apps, but they always require you to buy something in order to view pics or continue ready or you have to wait hours before you can continue. Not with this app!!! I absolutely love and appreciate that they made this app so easy to keep reading stories! Great content! I read a story every night before bed 😃
