TipTracker - track your income 4+

This is the coolest lil app I came across …unusual for me cause I normally end up choosing to download an app thinking it’s gonna be the perfect app and then pretty soon after find myself hating my selection finding it useless and deleting it!!! In other words … my picker is broke…lol!!! Anyways this app only requires me to do a quick data entry at the end of my work shift each night and basically it does the rest!!! And it does a lot too… enter your hours worked and your hourly pay along with any tips you received during a shift and it calculates a daily weekly and monthly total breaks it back down to show your hourly rate after tips are added in as well as formulating charts and graphs if you happen to need a visual aid … and all this is stored and kept for you to be able to refer back to if needed and also to study and possibly help you learn what nights of the week are more profitable for you at work…what weeks of the month as well as what months of the year!!! So little info to input each night it literally only takes about 30 seconds and then the app does the magic… it certainly beats the ole jot it down in a notebook method I tried before!!! Love math but that was a pain in the whatever … sorry I’m rambling wonky wonk wonk … listen take it from me go get this app you’re gonna love it and be amazed at how much information it generates from punching in a couple of numbers at the end of a shift!!! Love it so much!!!

I’ve really enjoyed this app. Super easy to input my tips and any notes for the day. I am not a server but work as a caddie and have not found any other tip tracking app that works as well as this one for what I looking by to track. I would give this app 5 stars easily but there are a couple things that I think need to be tweaked.
- When looking at the week, it allows to look back at the previous 7 days, not the an actual Sun-Sat. I think it would be extremely useful if under some sort of settings I could choose a custom beginning and end of the week. For instance, my pay periods are weird, Thur-Wed.
- Sometimes I work multiple shifts in one day. At the moment, I’m unable to track those shifts individually since they are the same day. Would be nice to be able to separate those two shifts to track hours and tips individually on the same day.
- Lastly, The app is not allowing me to add additional jobs. Currently, I can only track one job even though there is a way to add others jobs, for some reason it doesn’t work (the only bug/glitch). I work a couple of side jobs and would love to track them on the app as well.

Thanks for using Tip Tracker! Glad you are enjoying it. There is an update coming that will fix your pay period issue. I will look into the multiple-shift issue and see if there is a way to support you. If you aren't able to add additional jobs, you've likely disabled in-app purchases on your phone. You can modify your settings by going to Settings -> General -> Restrictions and finding in-app purchases in the list.

I’ve been using this app for 2 years. A couple of things… First, I do wish this app had the ability to print. That would greatly allay my fears of the app suddenly not existing and losing all of my income information. I paid for the cloud backup, but I’m not sure how much good that will do me if the app shuts down. Second, as a bartender, I wish there were a spot for tipshare. What I’ve been doing is not separating my cash and credit tips. They all go in the cash tips section. Then I use the credit tips section for tipshare. I can imagine a tip-out section could also be helpful for servers who are tipping out their co-workers. Everything else about this app is great though. I love having the weekly, monthly, and yearly views. It is very helpful to be able to look back and see what months/weeks were busy/slow or how busy it was on a particular holiday. Also, having an overview and an editable detailed section is really great. Overall, this is a wonderful tip tracking app!

You are actually able to export your data from the app through the Settings menu. The app will generate a CSV file with all of your income data attached. The file can be opened and analyzed with any spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel).
