Great Bible study app!

This Bible study program lets you read and study the Holy Bible in your own language and the original languages. It contains no spyware. It won’t nag you. I doesn’t display annoying advertisements. After you download a Bible translation, you can read it offline. Its search feature works well. All this, and it is free and open source software!

Completely broken—or very nearly.

For starters, most of the modules I have tried to download will not install. Modules will download, but only something like a third ever show up in the Installed tab in the Library. Watching closer, it looks like some modules do not download completely (stalling anywhere from 15-70%), but since no error message is displayed, the unobservant user to assume the module had downloaded successfully. Then , after using the app for five minutes discovered the search function crashes the app. (I am running iOS 15.3.1 in an iPhone 11 Pro Max, so I don’t think it is on my end.) I was considering migrating to Bishop after recurrent frustrations with PocketSword, but compared Bishop, PocketSword is virtually problem-free. It’s quite unfortunate since the interface looks really nice. I know these apps are run and maintained by volunteers, but when they are left to neglect and ruin with issues on front and back ends alike, paid apps like Logos and Accordance begin to look more appealing.
