Can't export properly

Spent hours on fixing my subtitles but can't export properly. If you select a black background and white text, the text automatically becomes very dark and you can't see it well. Wasted my $30.

Such a great application!

I have a couple of older tv-movies, that have hungarian to english translated subs on opensubtitles, which are just horrible. So I'm doing it myself. I tried jubler and aegisub and a fre other free/trail applications - and they stink. Subtitle Edit Pro is perfect! Once you get a hang of the shortcuts, I'm getthing though an ENTIRE 2 HOUR MOVIE in a few hours. The split and merge functions are indespensible. Sliding the timelines around is so easy. I even had a question and Liu got back to me in 2 days! Yeah - it's $30, but it's not a subscription model, and $30 is a very fair price (given the projects I'm working on). Couple of video bugs here-and-there, but they are solvable and don't even take away time from my workflow. Liu Bin has created a near perfect application for a problem on Macs that don't really have much good software. Thank you!

Excellent program

After trying out several competing programs, I bought this. The developer has an excellent how-to video, and after watching it once, I was up and running. If you want to place captions/subtitles exactly where you want them, and get them to follow the cadence of the video sound track, get this. It works great. There are many ways to do things, and it is so quick and easy both to set the captions, and then to edit them. Well worth the money.
