Repeater Finder (RFinder) taps into The World Wide Repeater Directory, including IRLP and EchoLink information.
RFinder (Repeater Finder), the premier Ham Radio repeater locating tool for Amateur Radio operators, allows you to find repeaters all over the world based on your current location or a specified location. It allows sorting by distance or by Trustee callsign as well as filtering by band and radius in miles or kilometers.

NOW RFinder Routing is integrated with RT Systems radio programmers! Your subscription bought here by installing this app gives you access in RT...just make sure RT is updated to the latest version by pressing Help-Update. Click File-External Data->RFinder Web Search and click Route! Easy as pie to program your radio now for a trip you are taking with just a few easy clicks...check out the tutorial video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaeRzcnNNdQ

NOW INCLUDES SOCIAL FUNCTIONS!!!! In the repeater detail screen, click the Check In button. All users will see that you are on that machine! This can be used to find your friends or a machine with a user on it. In the settings bundle app/RFinder you can turn on APRS posting. This posts your current position with the repeater you are checked into. You can also let your friends on Facebook® know what repeater you are on as well as your Twitter® followers, when checking in.

NOW INTEGRATED WITH THE EchoLink APP!!
From the repeater detail screen, any repeater that has an Echolink node attached just touch the number and if you have the EchoLink app installed it will launch to that node automatically for you.

Our repeater locator database is growing daily.
Access to the Directory is included for one year then it will be an annual subscription for $9.99, and your subscription works for all platforms.... Each purchase of a new platform advances your annual to a year from that new purchase date. Sub

If we do not have your repeaters listed...please do not refund or give us a bad rating...add repeaters at http://add.rfinder.net or request an add or update from the app.. Don't forget LAT/LON (in decimal), use periods as decimals, please.

The application accesses our Worldwide Repeater Directory and scanner directory for Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) but only stores information for repeaters within approximately 80 miles (125 km) from your location on your handheld at any one time, saving you room on your device and allowing distance calculation and mapping features to operate smoothly. It uses geolocation either via cell tower triangulation, GPS or manual location entry (so you can look up the repeaters you will use on vacation or business trips, etc.).

If anyone has lists of Amateur Radio repeaters from their countries we would love to incorporate that into our database.

Worldwide IRLP and Echolink nodes.

Changed from Broken to fixed

I have to agree with recent reviews. The app works once then functions like menu are disabled until you close the app and reopen. Also, it’s not coming up with search results when I input a new location or even use my GPS location! I have the latest IOS for iPad and iPhone. If not fixed I will not be renewing. I loved having the app on my phone but not if it doesn’t work.

I hope they read these comments or discover and fix this bug soon or they will lose many customers.

UPDATE:

I discovered the app was updated and fixed. I deleted it from my iPad and reinstalled it. First thing I noticed was my local repeaters appeared under the list where previously there was nothing. Then I entered a location using city/state and it gave me the Lat/Long. As soon as I selected ‘set location’ the app immediately closed. I reopened and the repeaters at the new location I entered appeared. It didn’t crash when I selected my GPS location and went to the repeater list. So it works but first closes after setting a new location.

Disregard above comments. Seems to be working without crashing after entering a new location.

Easy access to repeater info

I had downloaded this app because RFinder was endorsed by the ARRL (American Radio Relay League), the national organization for amateur radio operators. The app's default mode seems to display repeaters based on current GPS coordinates. The one snag I had was figuring out how to search for repeaters in other areas without having to input latitude and longitude coordinates (i.e., Washington, DC). There is a menu at the bottom of the display screen for repeater list but searching on location is not an option there. However, pressing "Menu" in the upper left corner of the screen opens tabbed menus in a column and selecting Override Location leads to a screen allowing for searching based on city and state or coordinates. This app is handy for locating nearby repeaters but also for distant repeaters so that data can be programmed ahead of time, anticipating travel to that area. Price is reasonable and consists of a yearly updated subscription. Oh, tech support is fantastic, as the author responded promptly (within an hour or so - I didn't actually time the response) to my question. A must-have app if you need repeater data at your fingertips and left your directory at home.

Excellent app and superb customer support

I recently purchased the app, which worked flawlessly. I couldn't get my login to work on the website. I decided that I would send an email to support and explain my trouble, this was on a Saturday. I fully expected to possibly have a reply the following week. I was very surprised and extremely impressed to have a reply a few hours later. I was given a few suggestions to try. When I got home on Sunday I logged into the website and everything worked perfect. I sent an email to RFinder support thanking Bob for his assistance and excellent customer service. Once again to my surprise, within minutes I had a reply from Bob. I am very impressed at the usefulness and ease of this app. I would most definitely recommend the RFinder app and company to everyone.
