Has a problem or two

First, it seems the app was constructed to accept a specific kind of email address and other types are rejected — usually, email is some form of (name)@(domain), and “name” can be composed in many different formats. This app wants to see (name).(something)@(domain), and will treat the format as wrong and reject the log-in attempt if the dot is not present.

Next, if you do create a new account with a dot in the name field you can successfully log-in, but then the app launches Safari - not Firefox, not Chrome - and will open Xplore web site but not in a way that is related to any Xplore subscription you may have. That part does seem a bit sensible - if your subscription is tied to an email address without a dot, you cannot expect to get access to restricted content if you try to use an email address that does use a name-field dot.

In short, I won’t spend more time on this one.

Has potential, needs work.

I’m a librarian, not an engineer. However, I see potential in the app. You need to either figure out or direct me in linking the app to the library’s IEEE account. We use EzProxy to authenticate. I’m hesitant to recommend this app to faculty unless you are able to do this. As others have said, there is no point in using it if you are redirected to the website for full access.

Great notifications and following update

Personally i am using it, its smoothly which let me capable to follow up to date articles, journals, conference paper and other types by make my search area based to make new notifications to follow up then make notifications on my iPhone to let me know about it and even there’s saved items section which let me to keep it for checking it later. It deserve to get 5 star but for now i will rate by 4 so they developed more to get last star.
Thanks.
