Description

Apple Mail does not offer creation of email signatures from HTML. Only a rich-text editing box is provided, without the ability for more customization.

HTML Email Signature - Mail enhances these capabilities by allowing customized creation of email signatures from HTML. Simply add your HTML, and your signature is created! A button to preview the HTML is also available.

** READ BEFORE PURCHASING **

- Valid HTML must be provided. This is not a design utility. Issues with formatting and/or appearance of the final signature are directly tied to the HTML code.

- An installed version of Apple Mail (included by default in Mac OS X and macOS) is required for this application to function.

What’s New

Version 1.9.3

- Enhanced image preview error reporting with detailed alerts for CORS issues and missing images
- Warnings for use of additional, non-recommended HTML tags
- Guided walkthrough for folder selection in dialog (for troubleshooting)

Nice Utility

This app makes adding new Signatures much easier then having to access the MacOS files directly, but this only allows for adding new signatures. Would give 5 stars if we could replace existing signatures as well. Otherwise you need to go back to your Signatures in MacMail and update and move around signatures. I bit of a pain. I also get a mac spinning wheel on submit for new signature. Only lasts a few seconds, but this sort of looks like the app is not working right. Developers should swap this out for something more inline with the UI. Also it should ask for permissions first, that way you have access to load a signature at the start rather then having to create a signature first. Thanks

Developer Response ,

Hi - thanks for the feedback! We’ll consider it for a future update to improve the UI. Also, you CAN edit existing signatures using the selection box at the bottom. We don’t replace existing signatures, but you can delete the old one yourself if you choose. Please feel free to contact us at support@element26.net with any additional feedback!

The latest version can use existing signatures as a template

Version 1.7.6 adds a key feature for me: the ability to start with an existing signature to create a new one. This makes the app significantly easier to use if you need to update an existing signature or create another signature only slightly different from an existing one.

Once you have created a new, updated signature from the old one, you can go back to Mail > Preferences > Signatures to delete the old one (if desired), rename the new one (if desired) and assign the new signature to the appropriate accounts.

Special thanks to the developer for being so responsive addressing this issue. I'm adding a star to my previous review!

Developer Response ,

Hi Larry, thanks for your review and suggestion! It was a bit technically challenging to implement, but the ability to read the HTML of existing signatures is now live in the latest release. Would you consider granting us the final star? :) You may have to create a signature to see it if the permissions are not already authorized.

Fastastic Support!!!

Easily one of the top customer support expereinces I've had in recent memory! I had an issue with the app hanging and being unable to click on the Create Signature button. I emailed support and received a response back within a couple hours. Afterwhich, we setup a time for the following day for them to remotely connect to my Mac, they had it fixed in minutes. If anyone runs into this issue in an M1 Mac, be sure to have Rosetta 2 installed first!
