Additional Measurements

I opened the app today to record a client’s pants measurements and to my surprise many of the bugs and upgrades have been added. This is a nice surprise. I will work with this for about a month to see how it is all piecing together.

24 March 2022: Thank you for your response and showing how to add a new avatar to add additional measurements but the icon does not allow me to add the lines to add the measurements. Please advise when this will be fixed. I finally have an app to record all of my clients measurements instead of using paper. I am using this app for my business and it is working well, but I really need to have some additional measurements added to use for the profiles. I have mentioned this in a previous review but I am yet to see it in the app. I must have the crotch length and crotch depth measurements. Is there an opportunity for me to add these measurements to show on the model. I upgraded my membership to Tailor Made and this is an important measurement for any tailor and/or sewist in making pants, slacks, underwear, swimwear etc.

As a Tailor Shop subscriber in Dress Measurement 1.4, you can now click on the + button to add a new page and draw your own custom measurements.

We’ll see what we can do about getting those measurements added to our default set in an upcoming update.

App needs more and annual price option

I recently downloaded the app again (free version), and still think it’s a great app for basic body measurements. However, it’s still missing several measurements needed for designing gowns, corsets etc. it would be easy to add these along with the others.
I was paying the $4.99/month previously, but I really didn’t see enough benefit for that price. I already have a folder in GoodNotes for all of my clients information, including photos and I simply add a screenshot of the measurement screens into their GoodNotes file and add any notes there. That system is paid for with a one time payment and I have a ton of options for my clients information.
There’s an open source pattern software that has measurement option, but many many more measurements, but the downfall is I cannot use it on my iPad which takes me back to DM
I simply cannot justify the very expensive $4.99/month for just the ability to take notes and photos. Exporting PDF isn’t that big of a deal as I take screenshots. It’s easier and faster anyway. There’s other programs that are much much more in depth that don’t charge this. Look at Procreate just as a software example, a one time super cheap purchase fee and they just did a major free update. There needs to be many more options to justify your charge. And if so, annual needs to be an option

We really love this type of feedback so thank you! We agree, and we’re hard at work at DM 1.4 (which is about 1 month away from release) which will have custom measurements for Tailor Shop users only. You can literally draw out your own measurements to use on all your profiles. We’ve also expanded the notes functionality so you can have multiple notes per user. We’ve redesigned the UI substantially and added new body models. We have a whole roadmap of features that will be exclusive to the Tailor Shop subscribers and above, that will add value and we believe will justify the $4.99/mo price. Our app hadn’t gotten much love for a long time, and we recently (March 2020) hired a dedicated team to work full time on the app to bring you the features you deserve. We thank you for your patience and taking the time to leave us this constructive feedback!

Nice, convenient app needs some improvements

Really helpful and convenient to have all the measurements for different people I sew for in one place. Love the automatic conversion between centimeters and inches.
It also makes it easier to shop for clothing for my kids as I can compare their measurements to the size charts for different brands of clothes.
What would improve this app:
—the ability to add measurements. The first thing I would add would be crotch depth—an essential measurement if you make your own leggings or pants.
