Well Done

The app is free, but the newspaper is not. But, when home delivery stopped in my area I was happy to get the online version of the Bangkok Post at about one third the cost of having the paper version delivered.

The underlying application is well written and easy to use. You get facsimile pages of the entire newspaper, including the ads, the comics, the special features and even the classifieds. Navigation is a cinch. You can read articles either by expanding the text or opening them in a separate, nicely formatted reader window.

Those who found navigation difficult probably didn't realize that a single tap on a page shows/hides the navigation buttons at the top.

It's hard to imagine how this application could be improved. You get the look, if not the feel, of the print edition. Read the Post anywhere without having to worry about lighting or having the wind blow the pages around.

One feature I especially appreciate is the ability to email an article. Email to your Instapaper account and you've got the article saved as long as you like for future reference.

As I said, well done.

Awful technical support

App works fine until it doesn’t…and then you’re at the mercy of non-existent technical support with broken links and limited channels to communicate.
Archaic technical support for both the app and the website

Information difficult to read

Keeping the newspaper format looks good but it’s difficult to read. Please reformat information.
