Fueled by pulverizing breakdowns and crushing circle-pit riffs, and driven by vocalist Jesse Barnett’s introspective lyrics, three-minute rippers like “The Sun, the Moon, the Truth” and “Cave Canem” shift into emotional overdrive. The soaring melodic choruses of “Married to the Noise” and “Delinelle” are offset by the gang-style backups of “Doomed by You” and the melancholy guitars of “Through the Chain Link.”
