Home Everywhere

Home Everywhere

After releasing their first album in nearly 20 years in 2013, the Los Angeles trio Medicine return in 2014 with Home Everywhere—an album that proves they're quite serious about rejuvenating their sound with forward motion. Brad Laner’s guitars still dominate the dense sound and Jim Goodall’s massive drums take up an inordinate amount of space, but Elizabeth Thompson’s often-buried vocals rise from the din (“Cold Life,” “It’s All About You,” “The People”) for a sweeter pop edge. Ambitions run high on the 11-minute closer, where the trio explore various tribal and shoegazing methods to ecstasy.
