Reverse Migration collects remixes of songs from Au Revoir Simone’s lovely second album, The Bird of Music, including interpretations from such electro-pop luminaries as Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip and Jean-Benoît Dunckel of Air. Taylor gives “Sad Song” a surprisingly glitchy treatment, transforming the track into an eight-minute procession of clicking noises and rubbery synth lines, while Slow Club offer an acoustic rendition of “The Lucky One,” suggesting that Au Revoir Simone could’ve found equal success as indie-folk balladeers.
