My World

My World

Eddy Arnold had considered retirement in the early ‘60s, but rather than hang up his proverbial Nudie suit, he simply traded it in for a tux. My World, released in 1965, is one of country's great Nashville-sound crossover LPs. Arnold’s cheatin' songs could draw tears from even the most hardened cowboy, and the beaten-down "Make the World Go Away" and fatalist “As Usual” become especially dramatic with the use of swelling strings and lush harmonies.
