Neil Young has spent much of his career bouncing between acoustic Neil and electric/Crazy Horse Neil, but he'd never gone back and explored the possibilities of the orchestrations found on his first solo album until now. Sadly, the man who orchestrated that album, Jack Nitzsche, died in 2000. However, here Young captures the overall feel and innocence on the "live with orchestra" versions of “Plastic Flowers,” “Glimmer,” and “All Those Dreams.”
