All Screwed Up, Vol. II

All Screwed Up, Vol. II

Arguably the most influential and game-changing DJ from Texas (right up there with Premier), DJ Screw invented the "chopped and screwed" technique still in use today, making mixtapes with the songs slowed waaaaaaaay down. His screw tapes became hugely popular. He started making his tapes in 1990 and was soon a local superstar, opening his own record shop, starting the gigantic crew Screwed Up Click (featuring Fat Pat, Big Moe, HAWK, Big Pokey, Shorty Mac, Lil Keke, and countless others), and recording more than 250 editions before his untimely death by accidental overdose in 2000. All Screwed Up Vol. 2 was originally released in 1995 and features UGK, Point Blank, PSK-13, and 20-2-Life. Don't miss "Inside Looking Out," "After I Die," "13 Ways," and "Short Texas."
