22 Dreams

22 Dreams

More than 30 years after he originally debuted with The Jam, UK modfather Paul Weller proved with 22 Dreams that he was as omnivorous and charged as ever. The title track sees him demonstrating his classic touch for bopping New Wave, while "Echoes Round the Sun" could show Oasis a thing or two about Union Jack-waving arena rock. "Light Nights" is a finely plucked pastoral musing on aging, and "Song for Alice" finds Weller taking some Afrobeat grooves out for a stroll.
