Vagabundo

Vagabundo

No artist has turned boy-band pop stardom into serious rock cred as deftly as Menudo's Draco Rosa. Vagabundo is the album that cemented his legacy. On the surface, it has the distortion, angst, and attitude of a Soundgarden release, but the record's depths include all sorts of unique songwriting and production tricks. Where the title track abuts odd chants and Violent Femmes-inspired guitar, the break-up tune "Penelope" emits sighing mellotron straight out of "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds."
