When Blueface spoke to Apple Music around the time of Find the Beat, he described his process like this: “I wouldn’t say I stick to one sound. Mostly, people would say ‘Thotiana,’ but some people would say ‘Daddy,’ and then there's some people that don't like neither of those songs. Some of them like ‘Dead Locs’ more, some of them like ‘Respect My Cryppin’,’ those type of sounds. I just try to make my music as close as possible to how I'm feeling or what's going on at that time.” In citing examples of his work that have resonated the most with fans, three of the four songs he mentions are from his debut project, Famous Cryp. Two years after the release of the original, Blueface has repackaged those hits and the rest of the album with nine newer songs featuring megastars of rap (Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, and YG) alongside a few MCs of a slightly lower profile (Moneybagg Yo, Sada Baby, 03 Greedo). The latest offerings are sprinkled in here, breaking up the sequencing of the original, the Los Angeles MC's way of reminding us that even around new pals, he’s still the same old G.
