On their second album, Boston hardcore crew Great American Ghost throw down a devastating soundtrack to circle pits across the globe. Vicious metallic riffs trade off with massive breakdowns on the opening triple threat of “No Savior,” “Ann Arbor (Be Safe),” and hometown ode “New England Misery” as vocalist Ethan Harrison spits anger, frustration, and violence at every turn. Elsewhere, churning bass breaks and Slayer-esque guitar moves keep a tourniquet-tight pace and swing the hardcore hammer in all the right places.
