A romantic drama about a teenager who risks her life to find love and happiness, Everything, Everything uses a vibrant collection of R&B and pop tunes to stir up waves of emotion and longing. “Stay,” the sensuous duet between Alessia Cara and Zedd, is a great anthem for Maddy and Olly, who have to fight tooth and nail against their worlds to be together. Likewise, Kehlani’s “Escape” and Skylar Stecker’s “How Did We” give the film its sense of levity and compassion.
