Rock Star (Music from the Motion Picture) [feat. Rock Star]

Released in 2001, the Rock Star soundtrack celebrates hair-metal wildness with loads of hot licks and arena-sized hooks. The flick’s fictional band, Steel Dragon, delivers several gems, including “Livin’ the Life,” a high-octane ode to decadence wrapped in ’80s glamour, and “Blood Pollution,” in which backup singers chant, “Give me blood!” atop gnashing riffs. The set also contains a clutch of classics from Bon Jovi, The Nuge, and Kiss, whose salacious howler “Lick It Up” nails the movie’s rowdy sense of fun.
