For her first studio album in five years, classical crossover soprano Sarah Brightman teamed up with producer Mike Hedges (U2, The Cure, Camilla Kerslake) to tackle a collection of beloved pop, rock, and classical songs. Her benevolent, lyrical readings add new life to tracks like Sia’s “Breathe Me” and Sigur Rós’ “Glosoli”; the Cocteau Twins’ “Eperdu” becomes even more ethereal in Brightman’s grasp and exposes a lighthearted, playful side of the singer’s approach to her craft.
