Khadijah (QUEEN LATIFAH) invites her mother, Rita (RITA OWENS), for Mother's Day. Rita brings Regine's (KIM FIELDS) meddlesome mother who immediately gets into an argument with Regine.

Khadijah's boyfriend, Alonzo asks her to move in with him. Then, former boyfriend Terrence unexpectedly returns from Los Angeles and wants to revive their romance.
