Java, Indonesia The Haunted Cave: In the most remote corner of Indonesia is a mysterious cave that locals believe is haunted by evil spirits. Located deep in the jungles on Java, Josh and his team must make an incredible journey to the cave and then risk life and limb to penetrate its partially flooded caverns. Australia The Burrunjor: A giant, prehistoric creature known as The Burrunjor is reportedly thrashing through the outback and leaving half eaten cattle in its wake. Indigenous Australians report that the creature is nearly 25 feet tall, stands on two legs and has two very small forelimbs. Locals claim he has a three-toed footprint, a long, ten- foot tail, and formidable teeth similar to a T-Rex. Is a dinosaur roaming around in the Australian Outback? With the help of Aborigines and an exploration of the harsh Australian frontier Josh may just find out.

Indonesia: Java -- According to mainstream science, the world's biggest bat is the Bismarck flying fox, an animal that never gets larger than six feet from wingtip to wingtip. According to cryptozoology, mainstream scientists might be wrong. Many sightings from seemingly reliable people suggest that this might not be the case. The island of Java, not very far from the Bismarck flying fox's home of New Guinea, is supposed to harbor a bat with a twelve-foot wingspan called the Ahool. Its cries sound like "A-hool" and it eats fish. It has gray fur and a flattened face with black eyes. Its head resembles a monkey's head. This creature is not attributed with supernatural powers, and seems like such a plausible animal that it has drawn the attention of naturalists. The Philippines: Pinatubo Monsters -- Reports coming out of the Philippines describe five "huge, black creatures" swimming in the Tikis River, near the former mining village of Buhawen, scaring Aeta families six years ago. Aeta natives first spotted the 7-foot long mysterious creature in 2001, after mistaking it for floating logs. The strange creatures have been seen swimming in the river below Labuan, which is enclosed by tall, thick bushes. Since the monsters' heads and tails were not seen, no one could venture what these locally named "Pinatubo Monsters" could be. Two tribal leaders were requesting that "biasang tau 'scientists'" come and assist them with the mystery surrounding what the creatures might be. At last word, no scientists have volunteered to go look and reports of the huge creatures continue to emerge.

Japan, Mt. Fuji -- A crowded, dark forest bordering Mt. Fuji, Aokigahara is infamous throughout Japan as a popular spot for those taking their final journey. In 2002, 78 bodies were found within it. By May of 2006, at least 16 new suicides had already been found. No one knows how many bodies go undiscovered. Signs emblazoned with messages are nailed to trees throughout the forest. No sounds can be heard other than those produced by the forest itself. Aokigahara is considered the most haunted location in all of Japan. Spiritualists say that the trees themselves are filled with a malevolent energy, accumulated from centuries of suicides. The Philippines, Aswang -- An Aswang is a ghoulish creature in Filipino folklore. The Aswangs are the most feared of supernatural creatures on the Philippines and are the subject of a wide variety of myths and stories. One trademark or defining feature of Aswangs, which distinguishes them from other Filipino mythological creatures, is their tendency to replace live victims or stolen cadavers with a facsimile that it creates out of tree trunks and other plant materials. Aswangs are particularly feared for their appetite for children.

Japan, Lake Ikeda -- Said to inhabit the depths of Lake Ikeda, Issie is Japan's answer to Nessie. Legends of a mythical creature in the lake have been swirling around for centuries. In 1978 a tourist snapped a series of photos that would make Issie headline news. While scanning the lake in the aftermath of an initial sighting, Mr. Matsuhara's attention was drawn to an object moving in the lake which was somewhat veiled by waves surrounding it. He quickly took a series of photographs and in one of the photos; it appears to be two humps with spinal ridges. By this time the tourism department of the nearby city of Ibusuki had offered a reward of 100,000 Yen to anyone who could produce a photo of Issie. Matsuhara submitted his photo for their consideration and the tourism department officials were impressed enough to award Matsuhara the prize money. Iceland, Elves -- According to the latest reports, the possible existence of Icelandic elves is the main reason many of the roads in the country were rerouted to avoid disturbing rocks where the fantastic creatures possibly live. Most residents polled are not willing to rule out their existence. Many children told their parents about the little inhabitants of the rocks, but more adults have also stated their encounter with elves, as well. According to an engineer with the Iceland Road Authority, they do not want to deny the phenomenon of existing elves. He claims that there are people who can actually negotiate with them.

Gambia: Ninki Nanka -- Ninki Nanka is a legendary creature based in West African folklore. Descriptions of the creature vary, but most contend that the animal is reptilian and possibly dragon-like. According to tradition, the Ninki Nanka lives in the swamps of West Africa. The animal is said to be extremely large and dangerous. It is believed that when children disobey their parents and go into the swamp, the Ninki Nanka will take them away. This creature's tales were never recorded but the story of it has spread from tribe to tribe all over Africa. A group of "dragon hunters" from the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) went to Gambia in the summer of 2006 to investigate the Ninki Nanka and take testimony from those who have seen the mythical creature. Gambia: Kikiyoun -- One of the most terrifying and least seen of all the forest creatures is the Kikiyoun. Its very name can conjure a look of terror. It is described as resembling a large owl, especially its head. It has a large beak and raking talons on its arms and feet. In many respects it is a mixture of bird and human. The Bambara people say it has a huge pair of feathered wings that grow from its back. The shoulder joint, which is tipped with a sharp spur, serves as a weapon if its talons fail. It has razor sharp talons, much like those of a large owl, at the end of muscled legs.

In one of their most hair-raising experiences to date, Josh and team travel to Romania to investigate paranormal activity in the Hoia Baciu woods. According to local authorities, the forest is home to numerous sightings of apparitions and fleeting beams of light. In addition, these experts have remained puzzled about the presence of a "crop circle" in the forest. After a nearly fatal flight that ends in an emergency landing, the crew is finally able to investigate. The chilling nighttime endeavor is fraught with challenges, and later, Josh asks Ghost Hunters Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson to lend a hand during the analysis. In the second investigation, the team heads to the Yucatán to explore the myth of the Alux, a pygmy- like creature reported by Maya people. Josh leads the crew on a trek deep into remote caves to hunt for the truth behind this ancient legend.

South of Mexico City in the last of the old Aztec canals, there is an island that visitors claim is overrun by thousands of haunted dolls. The dolls were hung up to ward off the spirit of a young girl who had drowned in a canal while visiting the island. Don Julian, the caretaker, was found dead in the same canal. Now, locals claim his spirit also haunts the island. Josh and team’s chilling nighttime pursuit amongst the throng of sinister dolls yields some of their most compelling on-camera evidence yet! From there, the crew dives headfirst into the deep waters surrounding Andros Island in the Bahamas in search of the most feared monster in the ocean - the eight-legged Lusca, a creature said to lurk in the region’s menacing underwater labyrinth of caves and tunnels, far below the stunning scenery above sea level. Josh, a scuba enthusiast always up for the next diving adventure, gears up to investigate.

Josh and team head to Egypt, where they set out to make history as one of the only production crews in the world permitted to investigate inside King Tut'’s tomb at night. The dangerous expedition has led to the untimely deaths of many who attempted it in the decades since the tomb'’s discovery, and conditions prove to be no easier for the Destination Truth crew, who must battle illnesses and a sandstorm before collecting evidence of the paranormal in the sinister depths of the famed sepulcher. Then, the crew embarks on another unprecedented journey for the show’'s first-ever U.S.-based investigation: the search for a swamp ape living in the Florida Everglades.

In this chilling episode, the team embarks on a paranormal investigation at the desolate site of the world’s worst nuclear accident: the Chernobyl power plant, located in what is now the Ukraine. The tragic disaster in 1986 resulted in numerous deaths, and today, some locals living on the edge of the disaster zone tell stories about apparitions of the deceased still present, particularly in the abandoned town of Pripyat, the former home for the Chernobyl workers. The Destination Truth crew is the first film crew ever to obtain permits and film inside the Chernobyl reactor zone overnight. Ghost Hunters Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson make a guest appearance to help analyze the team’s footage. Then, the team heads to the blistering sands of Cairo, Egypt, where locals claim to be attacked by a monstrous canine creature thirsty for human blood: the Sal’awa.

Josh and team embark on their first UFO investigation in Chile, where, according to experts, an alien mummy was exhumed in the desert thousands of miles south of Lima. The stretch of land in between is believed to be swarming with extraterrestrial activity. Locals also claim to see live aliens wandering around in the dark, mysterious lights in the sky and disembodied voices. Then, Josh and the team engage in a fishing trip they won’t ever forget: something massive may be lurking in a lake in Van, Turkey. The lake, nearly the size of Rhode Island, is supposedly home to an animal that that measures more than 40 feet long, with dark scaly skin and a long spiny back. During a search on the lake’s surface, Josh catches something long, and serpentine on the thermal imagery monitor. The team returns to the US and takes their findings to a professor at Santa Barbara for analysis.

Joined by special guest stars Robb Demarest and Dustin Pari from Ghost Hunters International, Josh and team make their way to the jungles of Peru, where a terrifying creature resembling a gremlin is reportedly terrorizing the locals. Then, Josh and his team take on the age-old legend of the Bermuda Triangle, an area in the Atlantic Ocean infamous for pulling planes out of the sky and swallowing ships into the sea. It is believed that the triangle’s strange energy vortexes appear at the same locations again and again, so the team plans to chart a direct course through each known coordinate where ships and planes have disappeared. As a result, they manage to collect a phenomenal amount of evidence, including strong electromagnetic disturbances and a mysterious image on their IR camera.
