His hundreds of credits include high-profile collaborations with John McLaughlin, Bill Laswell, Public Image Ltd., and Ginger Baker. In 2005, Hellborg's global fusion explorations netted Kali's Son. He formed Art Metal with Swede Mattias "IA" Eklundh and V. Selvaganesh to release an eponymous album in 2007 and The Jazz Raj in 2014. Hellborg issued the archival Concert of Europe in 2023.
