About HOCC

Denise Ho, also known as HOCC, is one of the most popular Cantopop singers to have emerged after the turn of the century. Born in Hong Kong on May 10, 1977, she entered show business in 1996 after winning that year's New Talent Singing Awards competition. For several years afterward, she toured as a background singer with Cantopop legend Anita Mui and was a television host on TVB. She made her solo recording debut in 2001 and scored her first major hit the following year with "Angelic Blue." In 2005 her popularity soared with the success of her stage musical Butterfly Lovers and its companion album, which spawned a trio of chart-topping hits. The following year she staged her first solo concert at Hong Kong Coliseum, a momentous event for any Cantopop singer. ~ Jason Birchmeier
