Russian rock giants Bi-2—who formed in the ‘80s in Minsk—return for their 10th studio album. With Event Horizon, the band expands their reach—singles “Laiki” and “Pilot” set the tone—introducing elements of warped electronics and darkly intimate lyrics, alongside their big, bright, long-established rock sound. New single “Whiskey” adds more of a knowingly traditional Russian folk feel to their expansive repertoire—pairing Igor Bortnik’s gravelly vocals with the equally potent talents of American singer/songwriter John Grant.
