Another amazing read

Awesome space travel romance
I love how Michelle M. Pillow comes up with different worlds that interacts with each other. Dev has been alone all his life until a bunch of space pirates saves his life. As a half demon half human he has had to fight all his life. The humans are afraid of him and the demons say he is too human. They have tried to kill him. Violet has grown up as an only child to a general for the federation. When her father is killed she vows to get justice.She did not realize the woman who killed her father was after vengeance for the murder of not just her family but her people and her world. Dev felt torn between the love of his life and his newfound family. I could not put this book down and enjoyed it immensely.
A heartfelt story, an exciting adventure
The storytelling makes this tale one not to be missed. Even though this is the second in series all of the important facets of the first book are revisited without being repetitive if you did read His Frost Maiden. Violette is a sympathetic character. She’s independent, smart, she has a strong moral compass, but she also feels she must avenge the death of he only parent she knew. Dev is the product of two so vastly different species that he was never accepted by either. Having found family and loyalty among the crew of The Conqueror he can finally be just himself. These two are an unlikely match but fate had other ideas. Their battle of wits, fighting attraction, and getting to the truth is often funny and an action packed thrill ride. Great read!
