About BLØF

Founded in 1992, Dutch rockers Bløf released their first album, the regional hit Naakt Onder de Hemel, in 1995, and their second album, Helder, arrived on EMI two years later. Drummer Chris Götte then joined Bløf, and the live record XXL followed in 1998, as well as a string of successful singles. Now regularly selling out shows, the group released its third album, Boven, in 1999. Bløf won the Edison Award for Best Dutch Group in 2000, but Götte died in a motorcycle accident in 2001; the band soldiered on, and the live Oog in Oog was released in honor of the fallen drummer. The group's next full-length, Blauwe Ruis, arrived in 2002. The greatest-hits compilation Het Eind Van Het Begin was released in 2005. ~ Chris True
