About Arash

Born in Iran, based in Sweden, international pop star Arash has scored Persian-language hits all over Europe. He also represented Azerbaijan in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. • Arash’s family moved from Iran to Sweden when he was 10. His adopted country embraced his 2004 debut single, “Boro Boro,” which went to No. 1. • His self-titled first album came out the following year. Arash went to No. 17 in Sweden, and yielded three more Top 20 hits. “Tike Tike Kardi” and “Temptation” (featuring Swedish pop singer Rebecca) each reached No. 2. • Another collaboration with Rebecca in 2008, “Suddenly,” went to No. 8. The song comes off Arash’s second album, Donya. • In 2009, Arash’s song “Always” became Azerbaijan’s entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. He performed the tune with the Azerbaijani pop singer Aysel Teymurzadeh (known as AySel), and they finished third. The song was a No. 3 hit in Sweden. • Arash’s third album, 2014’s Superman, featured contributions from Swedish singer Helena, Jamaican singer Sean Paul, and American rapper T-Pain. The single “She Makes Me Go,” featuring Paul, was a Top 10 hit in Germany and Austria. • Though none of them have charted, Arash has released a steady stream of singles since Superman, including 2016’s “OMG,” featuring Snoop Dogg, and 2021’s “Lavandia,” featuring the American electronic artist Marshmello.
