

Bollywood legend A. R. Rahman has an obvious gift for melody, but his soundtrack for Taal is one of the best examples of his gift for turning out galvanizing grooves. With a story that goes heavy on the dance numbers, Taal offers an ideal opportunity for the composer to let loose on a flood of rhythms, whether it’s in the sensual undulations of "Kahin Aag Lage," the primal gut punch of "Ni Main Samajh Gayee," or the polyrhythmic parade of "Beat of Passion."
