Duplicate File Cleaner - Find and Delete Your Duplicates 4+

I had issue with BOX syncing when I used with both home MAC OS PC and work Windows PC. Multiple duplicates created when I purchased new computer for home, or changed laptops at work. My BOX file became so bloated, I could not manage anymore. I contacted BOX and they had no solution other than having me “manually” correct. This would have taken forever! THis week, I got yet another new home laptop and did not want to see even more dups created once I installed BOX. I installed Duplicate File Cleaner app on my home MAC and viola! 100GB of dups found. Not only did this clear from home PC, but also deleted all dups from BOX cloud during BOX sync to cloud. I did have to give approval for this with shared file folders.

I did back up all deleted to external drive from trash before final delete just in case. I would highly recommend this just in case. So far, I do not appear to be missing anything. Well worth price and my time to manually do. I have tried other programs that did not find nearly as much this app did. Highly recommend.

Does what it says it does. Due to syncing over time, iPhone, iPad, wi-fi sync, new phones, etc… some photos end up being duplicated. Until now, it was a major pain to try and remove them (one at a time), and in some cases, the duplicates would appear in different places on my timeline. It took about 45 seconds to find the duplicates, a few minutes of me verifying that the duplicates were indeed that (yes, it compares size, timestamps), and that was it. For a very reasonable price, it did it all quickly, accurately, and moved the duplicates to the trash (where I COULD recover if I felt the program didn’t do it’s job, but it did). Free space heaven. Can’t give enough praise for this product.

I checked a few of the 1 star reviews, and they are just ‘feature requests’; really don’t understand why they downgraded the product because they would like to have X, Y, or Z feature. The product does exactly what it says it does. Quickly, accurately, reasonable price.

I have 10 years worth of Macs that have been moved from one machine to the next. It has been a bit chaotic to try and keep track of all the dupes. Especially when you have 1TB of space, and can't explain what happened to 800Gb of space.

It was simple to use, has a clean and straight forward UI, and just plain works. This is the 2nd product I've purchased from Pocket Bits, and both have been awesome. If you need AV/Malware protection, get Bit Medic! If you need space, get Duplicate File Cleaner.
