What’s the difference between DeskCover Pro?

What is the difference between this app on the AppStore referred to as DeskCover Lite, and DeskCover Pro on the developer’s website?

Because this is not clear I will subtracted one star.

Sometimes the app needs turned off/on again, or quit and reopened when I catch it not working.

But I have a bright and large 27” monitor and love this app. It’s one of those you didn’t realize you wanted it until you tried it things. I have the app’s brightness slider about 75%, and it really makes your content easier to see and the screen easier on the eyes. I highly recommend it. For a laptop I don’t see much value in it because most of my apps are fullscreen, but when I plug into the monitor it’s worthwhile. I wish I found this app sooner.

It is nice but there are certain things they need to improve

For me it works best with the keyboard shortcuts– Ctrl+Option+Command+H and Ctrl+Option+Command+I. There seems to be a bug: If I have two windows open for an application and let’s say am working on one of them. it keeps the other one in background when i turn it on but as I switch to the other window of the same applicationd it doesn’t dims the first window, which it should. The workaround it you use Ctrl+Option+Command+I two times to deactive and reactivate the application. I think they should include an option for the user and let the user decide the preferred behavior.
Also, the animation is probably Ok if you are working on only one Desktop area but if you have multiple full screen apps running and when you switch between them the annimation is annoying, though it can be easiely turned it off.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for the feedback, but it would be more efficient and faster if you contacted the developers (with me) directly (just from the application - Send Feedback).
Thus, I am much quicker to fix errors and add new features. It's just that I'm not in a position to constantly monitor reviews and clients' wishes for more than 150 countries.

Please contact me and I will give you a beta.

Not quite there yet

DeskCover is okay, but it’s not great yet (especially compared to competitors like HazeOver).

Pros:
• DeskCover gives you the option of letting the system wallpaper show through the faded apps. This gives faded apps a nice look to them—it really helps them blend into the background, literally.

Cons:
• DeskCover’s animation is kinda janky, especially if you set it to less than a second. When you click on a new foreground app, what seems to happen is that DeskCover gracefully fades in the new foreground app—and then abruptly fades out the background apps. It should really be doing the fade-in at the same time as the fade-out (like a crossfade in a movie). (I’m pretty sure HazeOver does this, for one.)
• DeskCover also doesn’t have an option to show all windows from the current app as focused windows. This can come in handy when, for instance, you might be moving files between two Finder windows or comparing two Word documents. (HazeOver has this option.)

P.S. I have no affiliation with the HazeOver folks. I just like their app better.
