On “The Fruits of Your Desire,” he slow-cooks funk infused with ominous, reap-what-you-sow prophecy. Album closer “Delusion Sweet Delusion” offers no parting glimmer of hope, only pained resignation that dissolves in an achingly weary axe solo.
