About My Awesome Compilation

My Awesome Compilation were formed by two sets of brothers from Leicester, U.K., who were inspired by Sunny Day Real Estate, the Smiths, Spy Vs. Spy, and Pedro the Lion. Chris Driver (guitar, vocals), Andy Driver (drums), Darius Cobb (bass, vocals), and Woody Cobb (keyboards) spent two years touring before they released the "mini album" The View Is Amazing in 2004 on Scorepoint/Bravestar Records. After a sold-out U.K. tour in 2005, the group recorded its first full-length album, Actions, with producer Larry Hibbitt from Hundred Reasons. The album spawned three singles that received airplay on Radio 1, MTV2, Kerrang TV, and Scuzz. My Awesome Compilation spent the next year touring and playing on the festival circuit, sharing the stage with Fall Out Boy, Reggie and the Full Effect, Alkaline Trio, and Funeral for a Friend, as well as making appearances at Download, Summer Sundae, Truck, and Pukklepop. In 2008, the group once again teamed up with Hibbitt and released its second album, Frontiers. ~ Katherine Fulton
