About Kyusonekokami

Kyusonekokami is a Japanese rock outfit with indie roots whose goofy videos and fun-loving approach have led to a string of hit releases. ∙ The band’s name is an obscure reference to the video game Final-Fantasy X-2. ∙ Gradually building success via a series of creative music videos, the group released We are indies band!! in 2013—an album that spent 34 weeks on the Japanese charts. ∙ Kyusonekokami’s major-label debut, Change the World, arrived in 2014 and was quickly followed by the No. 4 hit album Life Goes On. ∙ “Galaxy,” a song from 2015’s Happy Ponkotsu Land, was used as the closing theme of the anime series Dragon Ball Z Kai.
