Lawn Mower Man

Lawn Mower Man

Known mostly for his bizarro voice and well-publicized struggles with substance abuse, Madchild is a founding member of Canadian rap crew Swollen Members. Extremely famous up North, the Members have won four Juno Awards (Canada's equivalent of the GRAMMYs) and sold countless records but remain mostly unknown in the States. Lawn Mower Man is Madchild's ninth solo joint since 1994; it finds him doing what he does best, serving up extreme rhymes that blend goofy humor, bold bravado, and graphic tales of mic smashing, hardcore partying, and general wack-MC dismantling, all while flipping the concept of Stephen King's book of the same name (and its movie). Rob the Viking, The Ikonz, and C-Lance provide high-octane b-boy horror-movie production, while guest appearances come courtesy of Slaine, Bishop Lamont, JD Era, and fellow Member Prevail. It's ideal for fans of Brotha Lynch Hung, TechN9ne, and Necro; check out "Coal Mine," "Crazy," "Kill Kill Kill," and the title track.
