The "CReative tEAM" known as CREAM consists of Hong Kong-born singer Minami and rapper Staxx T, born Takuma Kitahashi in Osaka, Japan. Formed in 2010, the bilingual duo blend pop, rock, rap, and hip-hop into a self-described "New J-pop" that bubbles over with spirit on tracks like "Party After Party" and "Shut Up and Party." Minami and Staxx followed the mixtape DJ Deckstream Presents Icekream Soundz Vol. 1 in 2013 with their debut album, Dreamin', and its EDM-flavored hit "Shooting Star." Team CREAM distinguish themselves by fluidly dropping English phrases into Japanese lyrics translated by Staxx from Minami's English. (Tracks such as "Sensitive" and "He" feature Minami in exclusively English acoustic settings.) They also write hip-pop hybrid tracks for other Japanese stars, including m-flo and Namie Amuro. The good times continued to roll on 2019's Love + Party.
