If there was a title for busiest Punjabi pop star in the business, Himmat Sandhu would surely be a major contender. He released more than half-a-dozen singles before his YOLO EP, all in the same month. While 2022 EP Bhangra Essential was four songs of folk-flavoured frolicking, this follow-up is closer in spirit to 2021 album Sandhu Saab. It’s a mixed bag of treats where the only constants are composer Haakam and co-lyricist Jang Dhillon. Highlights include frank pop track “Aloof”, romantic bhangra-pop earworm “Lahore” and the rap-inflected “Copy.”
