Tradovate: Trade & Invest 4+

I’ve been trading for 3 years and this is the best platform that I’ve seen for beginners. I’ve always been the type to say “ I don’t do demo accounts” and because of that I lost so much money. Tradovate’s demo account is exactly the same as a real account, there’s no way you would know that your on a paper account while trading unless you see your account name that says demo. This is amazing, I have been on a demo account for a month now and it has totally changed my perception. Also, minimum margin for futures allows you to trade with more size with less money. This can be dangerous for newbies but if you paper trade first you can be sure your strategy works and make hella money once you go live. Totally recommend this broker for ES/MES futures!

Honest review from a heavy daily user: not a great update, team. LOVE Tradovate mobile and have used it extensively. With all the bugs inherent in this current version, my only question is, why? It worked perfectly previous to this. This version is maddening: if you navigate away from the app, when you return, the app is now not updated and totally off in price and PnL. You must now completely quit the app and restart to get an accurate account of where you stand during a trade. And small details are now changed and not for the better: Enable Brackets tab on/off switch is now a grayed out color as opposed to the previous turquoise when you enabled it. Again, why? Those details make a big difference. I can only think the bugs of this version are because it’s supposed to be some amalgam of Tradovate and NinjaTrader mobile? Ugh. C’mon, team, you can do better. Huge fan and want to keep it that way. Why?

Since the last update, I have noticed many, many bugs that were not there before, such as;
- Unrealized P/L frozen. When I am in a position, Unrealized P/L stays frozen when I switch back and forth between apps on iPhone. For example, if I switch from Tradovate to Think or Swim then back to Tradovate, my Unrealized P/L will stay at the last number before I switched apps, every time.
- Logging in. When faceID fails to recognize me, there is no button to press to retry faceID.
I have to manually re-enter my password. (even though I selected the “remember my password” feature)
- Logging in Part 2. Once I am able to login to my account, I have to press the 3 bar icon at the top left of the screen, press ‘Switch to Another Environment’, then press ‘Simulated Trading’, whereas before, once I pressed the ‘Sign In’ button after entering my password, the app would prompt me to either select ‘Live Trading’ or ‘Simulated Trading’.
- Function bugs. For example, when switching between the Orders and Market tabs (or between any tabs), the app will frequently undo the last command. For example, if I am on the Market tab and switch to the Orders tab, the app will reverse this function, and take me back to the Markets tab, requiring me to do this process twice or sometimes even three times.
