There are wonders of the natural world all around us, ready to be explored! Spencer had an interest in insects and built his channel on his passions. Imagine what you could do if you made a channel on your passions, with your creativity and interes, you could go far!Spencer is 100% himself and lives life on his own terms. Stop trying to fit in. Always try to be a continual beginner and always learning. Life is short, learn as much as you can, and you'd amazed at the places it can take you! Spencer has a brilliant sense of intrigue and wonder. He loves to learn, is very curious and always looking to teach and show others what he learns. By being curious, he is continually learning, and adapting. And if you can add to the conversation, it doesn't matter how many channels are there, they'll watch yours too. "Spencer went from Pre-Med to YouTube. Understandably, he had some bumps with his parents,

#211 Rosie Miller on how to express yourself through BJJ!

TODAY's GUEST IS ... Today’s guest is Rosie Miller, a BJJ Brown Belt and a Performance & Mindset CoachRosie Miller is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Andre Galvao, a seasoned competitor, and a dedicated performance coach with over a decade of experience in both training and competition. She has worked with some of the biggest names in the sport, including Atos, IBJJF, and FloGrappling, as a writer and content creator. Her Instagram is a gold mine of free techniques and helpful prompts that will help you level up your game! Beyond competing, Rosie has taught kids' classes, developed training curriculums, and led nutrition and strength camps for athletes striving to reach their peak performance. But Rosie’s expertise extends far beyond the mats. Before BJJ, she spent two decades as a competitive dancer and pursued a graduate degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition—a background that shaped her holistic approach to athletic development. Over the past 15 years, she has helped countless individuals build strength, improve nutrition, and achieve their goals—whether that’s a competition podium, a stronger mindset, or simply becoming the best version of themselves.Rosie believes that success in any pursuit isn’t just about working hard—it’s about working smart. Her philosophy blends discipline with adaptability, guiding athletes to find the balance between pushing forward and knowing when to pause. Whether it’s on the mats, in the gym, or in life, she teaches her students how to develop the resilience, confidence, and mindset needed to truly transform. At the heart of Rosie’s coaching is a simple truth: real change happens off the mat. And she’s here to help you make that change. In this interview, we discuss how to find yourself through BJJ training, and how you can use your training to express and develop yourself, your identity and work on areas of yourself you want to develop. If you are liking the show, please remember to subscribe on your podcast platform and follow on social media. Imagine what you can achieve if you are always questioning things, and asking questions. By querying and trying new things, you will always keep evolving, finding new ways, stay curious and find routes others don't go on. You can be in both worlds. Rosie loved dancing and combat sports. You do you, you can do anything you want to do, the only thing that is holding you back is your belief in yourself. Stop caring what others think! Live life as you want! "And when I think about balance, I think about equal parts of everything, um or everything being on the same a level playing field. But when I think about harmony, I think about enough of each aspect, right? If we think about a chord in music, it's not necessarily equal parts of every note. It's ah It's you know enough of each tone to make the sound that we want. And so it might not be equal parts of everything in your life.

Listen Here Watch Here https://youtu.be/aJAXFi5lpxE KEY POINTS, Links & Actions Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on:Martial arts are brilliant, but can be very destructive to our bodies. To train a long time, we need to look after our bodies, and rehab and physical preparedness are the tools to let us do that.Mike spent some times when he was youngercross-training. Training multiple different demands can help you cognitively learn skills faster and easier, and have transferable movement patterns and bonuses from one sport to the other. If we understand our bodies and where we are strong and weak, we can then prep our rehab and prehab methods to strengthen our weaker parts, to allow us to recover faster and train for longer years. "from an injury prevention standpoint we want to be training the joints in the planes where they're gonna be injured. So you take a shoulder. The shoulder typically gets injured from a rotation. So you should be including some type of rotational training for your shoulder, right? You look at the knee. Knee injuries are often either a degree of freedom the knee doesn't go, which is the frontal plane, like some collapse on their knee, or they're rotational based. You should be probably incorporating some type of rotational knee training into your program. If your goal is injury prevention"Today's healing modalities are not really designed for combat sports, we tend to be told to stop doing the thing that hurt us by a doctor, but repetitve strains, bumps etc are part of training, so we need to prehab our bodies to survive the demands of the sport, and experts like Dr Mike are the perfect experts to show you how! You are unique to everyone else - so your rehab plan should be unique to you too! A pain doesn't necessarily mean it is a body problem, it can also be a skill problem that is causing the issue! "I define joint health And it's not ah things that people are gonna be able to reproduce from this video, but essentially is I want a joint to be able to move in every degree of freedom it can without pain and compensation. And the range of motion quantity is gonna be based on what you ne...

Kris is a big fan of meditation in the morning to focus his actions - I would recommend Headspace for their guided meditation apps.  "So it all depends where you live. like when i'm Because I travel about nine months of the year. When I'm in built up areas, you know whether it be London, l LA, Vegas, Mumbai, I am probably applying more biohacks than when I'm home. Because when I'm home, I live like on the outskirts of this of the city of Boise in Idaho. I've got a lot of greenery here. I don't have as high EMF levels. I have beautiful weather outside, so I'm exposed to vitamin D. I can take my shoes and socks off. I can ground myself, blah, blah, blah. However, when I'm traveling, a lot of the time I'm staying in hotels where there's a lot of Wi-Fi. There's a lot of EMF. I take my EMF reader with me. So now I'm going to ground myself a lot more. I'm going to wear earthing trainers, that are grounding me the entire time. I'll take my mat with me, possibly, um but you know i'm not always. ah There's going to be a lot more artificial light because I'm generally going to be traveling and working indoors. So then I am wearing a blue light blocking glasses, particularly ah an hour before bed. That's a non-negotiable anyway. And yeah it the biggest, the hardest thing I'd say when traveling is ensuring that the food that you're getting is cooked in the right oils. So if you are, let's say if you're eating out at a nice fancy restaurant, ask them what are they cooking the food in? A lot of the time it'll be soybean oil, canola oil, vegetable oil, whatever it may be. It's going to be a highly inflammatory rancid oil. It's not going to be like your avocado oil or your olive oil or anything like that...

By then tackling the items and the thoughts, she could start to grow as a person and become happier in herself.Sadly we live in a society where we think that our value is held in items, and what we own, and not in the value of who we are as a person. No item can can give you love, you need to learn yourself, not buy more.A change in your habitat can really help you change your thinking and feeling. Anyone can become organised and deal with their mess, you just need to find a strategy that works for you. Meditation as a habit, allows you to understand and let your thoughts come and go, without needing to react to them, reducing stress anxiety and recurring thoughts. Headspace is a great app to try.Book mentioned: 'The Surrender Experiment' by Michael SingerLetting go, both physically and cognitively, can finally let you become centered and in the moment.  We tend to feel stress and embaressment about our homes and any mess within. However, the joy of Amber's podcast and FB group are that, you realise that you are not alone, we all struggle to various levels. The podcast and group, helps highlight what people struggle with, suggests tried and tested methods,
