Useful in combination with an immersion course

I am currently studying Arabic using a "total immersion" course, which teaches the language by giving you example words and sentences, without ever giving translations or grammar rules or any of those things. Because Arabic grammar is profoundly different from European languages, it is almost impossible to infer the rules only from examples. This course gives a good summary of the rules, with a number of examples. There are numerous problems with the production values, including poor audio (speaking too softly and also moving the microphone), numerous typos in both the English and the Arabic text, extraneous material appearing on screen (several times, an Internet Explorer window pops onto the screen for no reason), plus the fact that the lessons are out of order and #10 is inexplicably missing. However, I still found it very useful in understanding the basics of Arabic grammar after three months in an immersion course. Just click on the heading to sort the lessons by Title to put them in correct sequence.
