The inspirational true story of Ruby Bridges. The year is 1960, and six-year-old Ruby Bridges and her family have recently moved from Mississippi to New Orleans in search of a better life. When a judge orders Ruby to attend first grade at William Frantz Elementary, an all-white school, Ruby must face angry mobs of parents who refuse to send their children to school with her. Told with Robert Coles' powerful narrative and dramatically illustrated by George Ford, Ruby's story of courage, faith, and hope continues to resonate more than 60 years later.

This book is appropriate for children of any age but since I am not a parent I would probably have a different opinion then most grownups. My teacher read me the story at school and I think it is a very good informational story for children and I think that any aged children would be very interested in the story if they were interested in things like Black history month and all that stuff. I would like to thank the creators of this book for making this book because it is a very interesting book and I don’t understand why someone would not want to read it. Again thank you very much for the creators of this book to make this book . I recommend this book to anyone that thinks it’s interesting. If it’s not interesting to you then that’s definitely way out of my opinion.
