Thinking, Fast and Slow explores the relationship between our intuitive mind—which moves quickly but is prone to unconscious biases and logical fallacies—and our analytical mind, which is far more difficult to engage, but more often leads us to the correct answer. A fascinating look into the reality of our thinking
This is one of the most famous, intriguing, heart-stirring, brain tingling, and powerful works ever created.
Unfortunately, this audiobook version is read like tourist brochure for a small US town or a P and L summary video made for the stockholders of a cardboard box manufacturer.

Glad to have read it at last
The system 1 system 2 terminology can be off putting. I kept thinking of easier shorthands for them, like old / lizard / reptilian / lower / primitive / reacting brain vs. new / monkey / rational / higher functioning / thinking / cognitive / neo-cortex.
Coming from a computer science background I ended up with FPGA vs CPU analogy of preprogrammed vs programmable processing.
Eventually I came to see that he did not want to infer any preconceived ideas, so that he can just share the findings of brilliant research tests that demonstrate the boundaries of the two.
Enjoyed his honesty in the end that tho he’s spent his life researching it, he’s aware that he’s still bound by the two systems.
It helps that the book is voiced by someone who talks like the author.

This is a fantastic book on how the psychology of the mind works through economic decision-making. I highly recommend it.
