About L'Âme Immortelle

Austrian electro-goth outfit L'Âme Immortelle formed in 1996 around vocalist Thomas Rainer and keyboardist Hannes Medwenitsch. The duo added singer Sonja Kraushofer to the lineup in 1997 and signed to Liechtenstein-based indie label MOS Records. They scored an underground hit with "Life Will Never Be the Same Again" before signing to the Trisol label for Wenn der Letzte Schatten Fällt. The band's signature electronic arsenal gained a string section on 2001's Dann Habe im Umsonst Gelebt, and Als die Liebe Starb, which yielded the club smash "Tiefster Winter," brought the outfit international acclaim. The group signed to BMG's Super Sonic imprint for 2004's Gezeiten and 2006's Auf Deinen Schwingen. ~ Jason Ankeny
